The GVI team in Ghana work in the town of Kokrobite, and the surrounding fishing communities, to improve the quality of locally offered education for nursery to junior aged students. During the week you will be planning, designing, and delivering educational classroom sessions and extra-curricular activities to be run with students from local schools. In doing this, you will be helping to provide local schools with the manpower they need to allow each child access to more personalised instruction in subjects like English, arts, crafts and literacy. You will also get the opportunity to be involved in activities that help promote the Sustainable Development Goals including SDG #4, Quality Education.
Weekends are yours to explore the tropical surroundings, site-see, or simply relax at base with your fellow volunteers. Through your programme, you will be making a valuable contribution to local education and supporting the local community.
